Hotnot: EOTW: Oooppsiieee! So Harold Camping’s prediction that May 21 is the end of the world fizzled like a tiny raindrop landing on a hot tin roof. Pzzzttt! Pffttt! And believers were left in confusion, couldn’t believe they have been duped by the man they believe was the ultimate prophet. Undaunted, Camping still wants to claw back even the tiniest of dignity by doing another prediction. OOppsss… it was just a miscalculation. It’s gonna be in October. Yes, believe me, this time it’s gonna be true. Sssssttooppp!. Enough already. Do you honestly believe they’ll still buy that? On second thought, yes. I think some of his cohorts are still buying it. Come on people. You’ve been had the first time. Are you that stupid to be had the second? Why don’t you just shake off that spell and realize that even the sharpest, most intelligent experts on religion cannot predict judgment day. And why are you waiting and praying for the world to come crushing into pieces anyway? Haven’t you have lives to live? Well I do. And I bet billions of people around the world still want to go on with life no matter what. So don’t pray for Armageddon yet, ok? Party poopers.

Hotnot: Privileged incarceration. Malaking balita sa atin na ang mga big-time convicts like Leviste, Ampatuans and even Rolito Go are being given special treatment inside their cells. At hindi lang sa loob ng selda dahil nakaka-labas pa pala sila, specially in the case of Leviste who was caught in his Makati building conducting his usual business. Biglang nagkaroon ng shake-up sa management ng BuCor at pinalitan ang pinuno. Well it’s about time. Dahil matagal na rin naman nating alam na talagang nangyayari yan. That wealth and power seeps into the deepest and darkest corners of any existence. Ke sa Muntinlupa yan o sa isang masikip na city jail. And these people will not hesitate to use the power of their money para patuloy nilang i-enjoy ang comfort kahit nasa kulungan. Sa kabilang dako ng Pinas, ang pamilya ng biktima ng kanilang krimen ay nagsa-suffer. One living in lavish comfort, the other in misery. Now I’m confused who’s the victim and who’s the culprit!

Hothot: O’bama’s apostrophe. I just can’t help but notice that President Obama’s trip to Ireland was much more lively and warm compared to the Queen’s visit just a couple of weeks earlier. The Queen of England was received with an air of formality, strict protocols and royal pageantry. But the thousands of crowds cheering and applauding was missing. Only when Barack showed up did they turn out in droves, flags a-wagging and girls not just a-screaming but a-shrieking you’d think it’s a rock star they’re gawking upon and not some President. But oh yes, Obama has that rock star appeal. It may not be the case in the US where he has lost some of his charm. But in Ireland, his stars didn’t show any sign of fading. I’m sure he was wishing that these Irish fans will be the ones trekking to polling places in the next election. He sure will have a convincing win. Afterall, he’s one of them. O’bama?
